Frequently Asked Questions.
Do you accept insurance?
Shift Physical Therapy and Wellness is a cash based (or “out-of-network”) practice. We do not bill your insurance for physical therapy services.
Many insurance companies allow you to submit for reimbursement when you receive “out-of-network'“ benefits. Each insurer has different requirements, but we assist you in providing any documentation you may need.

Why should I choose a cash based Physical Therapy provider?
By providing cash services, you are able to receive the care you deserve without the rules and restrictions placed on you by a health insurance company. Often times, care is delayed when working with insurance companies due to high deductibles, and co-pays as well as prior authorization required by your insurance company.
At Shift Physical Therapy and Wellness, we are able to see you immediately. A cash pay model allows us to focus on one individual for an entire 60 minutes. This allows us to focus on YOU for the entirety of your treatment. We believe having this undivided attention from your provider provides you with the best possible care which not only allows you to get better, faster but also saves you time and money long term.
How can I pay for my visit?
We accept cash, check, or credit card. You may also use your HSA or FSA account for services.
Cash or check is appreciated as we are a small business and processing fees are expensive :)
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit at Shift Physical Therapy and Wellness will include a full 60 minute Initial Evaluation with the Physical Therapist. During the Initial Evaluation we will review your medical history, discuss current physical concerns, take measurements regarding muscle strength or joint range of motion as needed, assessing overall physical movement, and discussing your individual findings with you. Together you will discuss your personal goals for Physical Therapy and the best course of action to get you to those goals. During the Initial Evaluation you can expect to receive education about your condition and start your path toward reaching your goals.
Following the Initial Evaluation, depending on your individual needs, you will discuss scheduling follow up visits with your provider. Every individual need is different. At Shift Physical Therapy we will work with you to determine the best course of action. Most follow up visits will be scheduled at a full 60 minutes of individual time with your therapist to allow plenty of time for the best possible outcome from your therapy session.
What should I wear to my visits?
You may wear whatever is most comfortable for you. It may be helpful to the therapist to wear loose-fitting clothing or gym attire to allow the body to move comfortably during your visit.
